A Trucker would not feel like a Trucker without his in-cab gadgets.
For Trampers (or Sleeper Trucks to our USA Truckers) these are luxury items that they cannot survive without, and the inside of the cab sometimes looks like an electricians nightmare, with USB cables running from every cigarette outlet, giving power to the all important mobile phone, the laptop, kettle and the in-cab fan to name but a few.
For Trampers, the cab is a home away from home, with the bunk dressed in a fitted sheet, cosy pillows and a single quilt covered, usually, in the colours of their favourite football team. The issued curtains fitted in the cabs are usually replaced by multi coloured fitted, rich velvet curtains, that can cost a pretty penny.
Trampers also take with them a short supply of food carried in a cooler type box, emergency rations so to say, essentials that are taken out on the road are food items like milk, butter, cheese, sliced ham or anything that can be made at short notice, bread is also vital but normally kept in the storage bins within the cab.
The latest Trunks produced now days are, more often than not, fitted with an internal fridge with a freezer section, so any frozen meals you take whilst out tramping, are there for you to just pop in the microwave to enjoy (if you have a microwave).
