Re-Gripping
So, why re-grip your clubs?
If you play or use the driving range at least once a week, it is recommended that you re-grip your clubs once every 2 years, once a year if you play, and once again, use the driving range more than twice a week.
Poor grips are the cause of many poor shots, this is caused by excessive grip pressure resulting in tension in your arms and shoulders. This tension Is usually the result of poor bio-mechanics. This is compounded even more in wet weather, when your grips become slippery.
Another precaution to adopt is to wash the grips with warm soapy water, dry with a towel and leave to dry thoroughly in a warm place (do not lean them against a hot radiator), this could cause the poxy resin in the club head to become unstable, eventually resulting in the club head flying off during any part of your swing.
During the hot summer months I would advise you not to keep your clubs in the boot of your car, as this too could cause the poxy resin to become unstable, also if your car is stolen, then it's a case of insurance claims and buying brand new gear and starting all over again.
Incorrect size
Poor shot direction could be a result of incorrect grip size. Grips that are too slim will cause your hands to become too active resulting in a pull or a hook. Too thick and the hands become too inactive causing a slice or a push.
I can order whichever grip you require, the most common and well known is GOLF PRIDE. I want the club back in your hands ASAP, ready for your next mid week or weekend round. I can fit most grips at your requested day or within 24 hours.
